- Coffee
- Tea
- Red Wine
- Cola or other dark sodas
- Ketchup
- Mustard
- Red sauces
- Soy sauce
- Steak sauce
- Berries
- Red meat
- Colored toothpastes
- Colored mouthwash
What can I expect when using ZOOM Take Home Whitening treatment?
After receiving an in-office whitening treatment, you will need to wait three days before starting the at-home whitening treatment. To use the at home treatment, you will apply the gel to every tooth in the tray and place the tray in your mouth. Be sure to avoid overloading the tray and wipe off any excess gel because it will irritate your gums. You will wear the whitening trays for two hours a day until the whitening gel runs out. This is generally a few days to a week. While wearing the whitening trays, do not rinse your mouth, swallow the whitening gel, or eat, drink, or smoke. Once the daily treatment is complete, remove the whitening trays, rinse them, brush them, and allow them to dry upside down.
During your whitening treatment, you may experience some tooth sensitivity 12-24 hours after using ZOOM. this is normal and should fade once the whitening treatment is over. To alleviate any discomfort, you can take Tylenol or Advil, use Sensodyne toothpaste, and drink plenty of water.
